By creating an account or using PVGame ("the Service", "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

PVGame is an independent, non-commercial browser-based gaming platform that allows users to play classic first-person shooter games compiled to WebAssembly. The platform is provided "as is" for entertainment and educational purposes.

PVGame is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to id Software, Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax Media, or any other rights holder of the original game assets. All trademarks and copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PVGAME, ITS OPERATORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

This includes but is not limited to: loss of data, loss of game progress or statistics, interruption of service, or any damages resulting from bugs, exploits, or third-party actions.

5. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account.
• One person may not maintain multiple accounts to gain unfair advantage.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

6. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use cheats, hacks, or any software that provides an unfair advantage.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the platform or game servers.
• Use automated bots or scripts to interact with the platform.
• Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures.

7. Game Content

PVGame uses open-source WebAssembly ports of classic games. The game engine code is open source (GPL-licensed). Game data files (PAK files, textures, maps) used on the platform are either shareware versions officially released for free distribution, or assets provided under applicable open licenses.

If you believe any content on the platform infringes your rights, please contact us and we will address the issue promptly.

8. Data & Privacy

We collect only the data necessary to operate the platform: your username, email address (for authentication), and gameplay statistics (kills, deaths, session durations). We do not collect payment information, location data, or browsing history.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Statistics collected during guest sessions are anonymous and not linked to any personal identity.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
